Bagna is a kaneka group from the island of Maré. The group is known for its melodic kaneka music, characterized by vocal harmonies, female choirs, guitars, and arpeggios. Their songs are rooted in the musical landscape of Maré and place great emphasis on cultural transmission, a deep connection to the island, and the realities of New Caledonian society.

Bagna's early recordings benefited from the participation of Édouard Wamejo, songwriter and founding member of the group Ok! Ryos. He contributed to the writing and composition of several of the group's songs, including Ma hœ, Zayalan, Watini, Jimmy Lan and Malédiction.

Audet Hnaweongo also occupies a central place in Bagna's repertoire. Credited with lead vocals and guitar, he writes or composes many tracks, including Mon île, Tant de haine, S'unir, Tuno, La kai nore lene and Ikuja.

Bagna's discography includes the album Ikuja so, released in the late 1990s or early 2000s according to sources, as well as Tuno, released in 2011 by Mangrove Productions.

Comprising 23 tracks, Tuno brings together new songs and several pieces from the group's previous recordings. The album is dedicated to the island of Maré, the Guahma district, and the inhabitants of the Wakuarory tribe. The title track pays tribute to Hiekungo Kaloi, a close friend of the band members.

Through his compositions and vocal harmonies, Bagna participates in the development of the kaneka of Maré alongside groups such as Gurejele, Ok! Ryos and Nodéak.
