Charlotte Mollet, a French artist originally from Paris, fell head over heels for New Caledonia, where she has lived for the past seven years. A multifaceted artist with a passion for science and nature, which strongly inspire her, she has forged a special connection with the New Caledonian environment, which she has made her own for the creation of her artwork.

A diver and freediver, the artist immerses herself in the seabed (as well as the country's incredibly rich plant life), which represents for her a place of meditation, sensory experience, and profound relaxation. Her committed work is expressed through various mediums and techniques (ballpoint pen, watercolors, charcoal, digital art, etc.), but black and white drawings in pencil and oil pastels remain her preferred means of expression: shadow and light, an ode to the mysteries of life, to the sacred, to what must be protected. Black and white thus reveals a spiritual dimension in her work.

By studying and elevating the human and animal bodies, or merging the two, his work aims to raise public awareness and prompt reflection on our relationship with the living world. This reconnection is essential today to understand and take effective action against the climate emergency and the mass extinction of species. His universe is hybrid and ever-evolving, and the quest for harmony and balance lies at the heart of his creations.
