Djaliv is a reggae group from the commune of Thio, in the South Province of New Caledonia. Its members come from different tribes in the region and met during their adolescence in the village of Thio.

The name Djaliv is presented by the group as a verlan transformation of the word "village", in reference to the place where the musicians met and began to share their passion for music.

The band follows in the footsteps of JVDK, Thio's historic group that contributed to the development of Kaneka music and New Caledonian reggae. Djaliv, however, is developing its own musical identity, primarily influenced by reggae.

The group gained recognition with their first album, titled Inspiration, released in the mid-2010s. This album notably includes the song La Pluie, written and composed by Jhearson Homboé.

Djaliv continues his journey with Mon île, his second album, released in 2017 by Mangrove Productions. This eleven-track project includes Combat de la vie, Mon île, Vérité, Positive Vibration, Revolution, Muzik Rebel and Soldat à nünü Ataï.

The album was primarily written and composed by Jhearson Homboé and Jacques Tieoue. The song "Vérité" also features George "Gero" Iviniau, singer and musician from the Vanuatuan band Naio, who contributes vocals and guitars.

Through his songs, Djaliv addresses themes such as freedom, identity, daily life, social difficulties, and his attachment to New Caledonia. The group champions positive and socially conscious music, conceived as a means of conveying messages and creating a connection with the public.
