This exhibition is an original installation by the visual artist Lulla.
It presents an imaginary contemporary cosmogony, intended to unite people beyond cultural or political affiliations. Its ambition is not to impose a discourse, but to open a poetic, sensitive, and accessible space where visitors are invited to reconnect with universal values.
The Kanaké house is divided into five rooms, each presenting one of five symbolic figures: Memory, Earth, Breath, Connection, and Time. Each is materialized by a monumental installation accompanied by various works: linocuts, paintings, embroideries, cyanotypes, textile installations, sound creations, video projections, and light installations.
The Guardians embody an essential dimension of living together and become the medium for a spectacular and immersive artistic experience, focused on dialogue and the rebuilding of social bonds. Inspired by organic flows (water, blood, roots, mycelium, or synapses), the artist envisions art as a living organism capable of making visible the invisible connections that structure the world. She also establishes correspondences between biological networks, collective memories, and historical narratives in order to offer a reflection on interdependence, resilience, and healing.
Lulla is the winner of the 2025 call for projects, from the South Province, in the category "Visual Arts: Travelling Exhibition".
