Description
GUIZ (formerly Poch'Art):
Urban artist, specializing in the manual cutting of multi-layered stencils.
Passionate about faces in general, and eyes in particular, I like to convey emotions in a very realistic way in my various projects. The details that stand out in my portraits are the result of many hours of meticulous cutting, entirely done by hand.
Coming from a street art background and closely related to graffiti, I generally paint outdoors using spray paint. You can find me on the walls of New Caledonia, alone, but also with the duo "Les Mains Baladeuses" which I form with my partner Purple.
Comfortable working on various surfaces for my studio projects (canvases, traffic signs, wooden boards and other recycled materials...), I often use acrylic paint in addition to spray paint, as well as various tools, readily combining stencil cutting, collage, and tearing of paper and cardboard to add texture to my colorful creations!
