Hurere is a group from Hienghène, originally from Lindéralique, on the East coast of New Caledonia. The group was already active in the 1990s, a period during which it notably recorded the song Gärhon.

After several years of absence, Hurere returned in 2018 with a new generation of musicians and the album Hyabe Ven Hurere, distributed digitally under the title Haybe ven. This new lineup covers Gärhon and also offers a remixed version, Gärhon 2018 Remix, as a tribute to the original band's repertoire.

The album also includes tracks like Caledo family, Chacun lave zoukls, Palhô, Je t'attends là-bas, Communication pupwalé, WHN dahot hiehen, Tok kohia and Mâân païk.
