Hyarison is a kaneka project led by singer, musician and composer Ritchi Bouanou, originally from Hienghène in New Caledonia. Before launching under this name in 2016, he participated in the groups Cada and Koulnoué Boys Band, for which he notably composed several songs.

His first solo album, Qui?, was released in 2016. On it, Ritchi Bouanou developed a more personal repertoire, drawing on traditional music, Oceanic sounds, and contemporary influences. He followed this with Vous in 2017, Gardons nos liens in 2020, and Cap vers le bonheur in 2022.

In 2023, Hyarison published Soldat Poedi, an album dedicated to the Maison Gabriel Poedi, of which Ritchi Bouanou has been the patron since 2019. The project notably addresses disability and pays tribute to the children welcomed by this structure.

In 2025, Hyarison released Kare-Tchin, their sixth album, featuring lyrics about peace, Caledonian society, and living together. In May 2026, Hyarison collaborated with Edou on the single Djul.
