Kweo is a group from New Caledonia led by Anicet Nedja on vocals and guitar. Around him, the band includes Jean-Pierre "Gaz" Baou on guitar, Manane Manane on bass, Hervé Lecren on keyboards, Bula Selefen on harmonica and several backing vocalists and percussionists.

In 2010, Kweo released the album Mwaciri Ro Kweo on Mangrove Productions. Anicet Nedja wrote or co-wrote the majority of the songs, including Ei Ye Ve, Mwaciri Ro Kweo, Wax, Ari Ve Xina, Ka Beari, Do Neva, Yoyo, and Rivière de Wââwilüü. Eric Boai and Manane Manane also contributed to the writing or composition of several tracks.

The album was recorded and mixed at Mangrove Studio by Stéphane Hervé, then mastered by Derek Metivier. It was co-produced by Kweo and Mangrove Productions.
