Description
My name is Marie Creugnet, I am passionate about the world of words and stories that
shape our imagination. My journey in writing began at a very young age, developing significantly during my studies at ESRA, where I honed my script analysis skills, and was further enriched through several writing workshops, notably the
LICARES training.
My determination and love for writing were rewarded when my short story "Mandy" was published in "Chronicles of Zealandia," following my victory in the Sci-fi Club competition. My involvement with the AENC also allowed me to contribute to "Sillages d'Océanie 2023: I eat therefore I am" and to participate in significant cultural events in New Caledonia.
While eagerly awaiting the publication of my first novel with O Editions, I continue to cultivate close ties with my online reader community. My work was particularly praised in Neovel's Stronger Together competition and the Writober challenge.
which I initiated has gained great popularity on social media, in particular Instagram,
Twitter and Discord, reinforcing my presence in the digital literary landscape.
My stories navigate through genres of speculative fiction (science fiction, fantasy, and horror), historical fiction, and thrillers, exploring profound and personal themes. I am driven by a desire to understand and portray courage, the healing of trauma, maturity, and the complexity of human emotions. I enjoy delving into uncharted territory, which I approach with humility and a constant determination to grow.
Aware of literature's transformative power on cultures and societies, I am determined to be a catalyst for change in the New Caledonian literary landscape. I have a deep passion for the development of New Caledonian literature and am ambitious enough to contribute to its growth.
I also enjoy challenges and can work within constraints to produce a short story perfect as a gift for a loved one. Feel free to contact me.
