Besides the many countries he had the opportunity to explore (Turkey, Israel, Thailand, Costa Rica...), it was in New Caledonia that he chose to settle in 1973.

Samuel Safrana, often nicknamed “the savior of the heritage of French song”, opened the first cabaret restaurant in Nouméa in 1977: “La Grillade”, where he notably welcomed artists such as Daniel Guichard!
